Our Veterinarians
Dr. Cathy Kaga and Dr. Bill Ormsbee are the married owners of the practice, and share the same commitment to superior care for their patients.
Dr. Ormsbee remembers making the decision to be a veterinarian when he was 7 years old. He and Dr. Kaga have realized a lifelong dream in operating Town and Country. He particularly enjoys soft tissue surgery and endocrine cases at the clinic.
In his free time, Dr. Bill enjoys outdoor recreation including hiking, camping, fishing, and "therapy time" at a country property in Saline County, and frequently volunteers at Trinity Presbyterian Church.
Our Receptionists
Karen came to Town and Country in 2003. She is pictured here with her beloved Border Collie, Katie, who died of cancer in 2007.
Animals are Karen's first love. After many years in the legal field and human resources, she has finally realized her life long dream of working in the Veterinary profession and has been doing so for the past 9 years.
Karen has a recently rescued Catahoula/Border Collie mix named Keagan, a cat named Barney, and 2 Paint horses, Morgan and Misty. She and her husband trail ride on and around their 40 acres near Lake Maumelle. They both love Bluegrass music and attend Bluegrass festivals frequently where they "jam" with friends (she on Acoustic Bass and he on Banjo). They both play and sing at their church as well.
Veterinary Assistants
Janel worked in Human Resources for 25 years, but came to Town and Country in 2007 to fulfill her dream of working as a Veterinary Assistant/ Animal Caretaker. Our patients and boarders benefit from her deep personal caring as she puts them at ease, attending to their physical and emotional needs. She also assists during office visits, surgery, and with routine clinic activities.
Janel is married to Richard, who generously consents to fostering the strays Janel brings home. They currently live in a peaceable kingdom with seven dogs and six cats.
Kristy came to Town and Country in September of 2008. She has been a technician for 10 years. She is married to Jeff and has 2 children, Heather and Devon. Kristy has 5 dogs, 2 cats, and a horse
